KiNK
Strahil Marinov Velchev also known as KiNK is a 28 year old producer and dj from Sofia, Bulgaria.
KiNK works in different genres of electronic music and his first vinyl releases in 2005 (influenced by the early Chicago acid-house sound) directed him to the abstract aspects of house and techno music.
The people in Bulgaria connect Strahil with his production work for famous bulgarian singers, his music for films and remarkable downtempo dj sets (playing alongside of artists such as Herbaliser, Scratching Perverts). Strahil’s first worldwide release was in 2003 on a CD compilation, containing the best tracks from the RFI electronic music contest (judged by Laurent Garnier).
On the international music scene KiNK is known with his specific house tracks, released on labels such as Odori (UK), RZ (France) and Rebelone (a collaboration record with Stefan Goldmann). KiNK’s upcomming releases in 2007 includes author tracks, collaborations and remixes on the UK based labels 4kenzo and Odori; USA based imprints Uniform, Eight-Tracks, OM records and more. His house tracks are played and charted by artists like Francois K., DJ Sneak, Laurent Garnier, Paul Woolford, Mazi, Chris Duckenfield, Mastik Soul, Justin Long, Spettro, Jake Childs, Asad Rizvi, Dj Heather, etc.
